Tutorials: Polls

Multiple investment options often makes one indecisive. Our Poll feature is designed to help you clear your confusions. Gather opinions from your community using our multiple poll templates. Decide intuitively after the results are in.


Step 1:

Click on the '+' symbol and select 'Poll'


Step 2:

  1. Select 'OpiGo Poll' if you want to create a real time poll using our templates

  2. Select 'Custom Poll' if you want to enter your own question and vote options


Step 3:

Under OpiGo Poll, select

  1. Single Stock: If you want buy/sell/hold views for a single stock

  2. Compare 2 Stock: If you are confused whether to buy/sell Stock A or Stock B

  3. Rank Stocks: If you have many stocks to buy/sell and want to rank it


Step 4:

For Single Stock, follow the below steps,

  1. Search for the stock by typing its name or symbol (Latest price will get fetched)

  2. Then under 'Select Investment Type', choose 'New investment' if you are yet to buy the stock

  3. Choose 'Existing investment' if you already own the stock. You will be asked to enter your average cost price so that community can vote accordingly

  4. As of now we have fixed voting options, namely, Bullish, Bearish & Neutral

  5. Lastly, choose the time frame you want to get the views for in order to invest


Step 5:

For Compare 2 Stocks, follow the below steps,

  1. Select the 'Question type' for your poll

  2. Input the two stocks to compare by typing name or symbol (Live prices will get fetched)

  3. Lastly, choose the time frame you want to get the views for in order to invest


Step 6:

For Rank Stocks, follow the below steps,

  1. Select the 'Rank type' for your poll

  2. You can input up to five stocks for ranking by typing name or symbol (Live prices will get fetched)

  3. Lastly, choose the time frame you want to get the views for in order to invest


Step 7:

  1. 'Preview' your poll to see how it will be visible to your community

  2. Finally, click on 'Post' and voila!

  3. View 'Analytics' from the icon in bottom right of the post


You now have your first poll! Wait for your friends & experts to vote on it.


(PS: A poll will be open for 7 days for accepting votes. However you can manually close the poll by clicking on three dots in upper right section)
